Twenty years have passed since the doomed Bugs 2 mission and a strange new disease is ravaging Earth. To save his friend from the malady, Akari Hizamaru enters an underground tournament only to find himself pitted against a savage foe.

With the Annex 1 cruising toward Mars an eerie mood pervades the crew as they are debriefed on their role in combating the lethal A.E. Virus. Moments before arrival, a deadly presence onboard thrusts the crew into a collision course with the unknown.
