A video of Clover, a young singer with an angelic voice, is reviewed by judges of the algorithm-based singing competition StarOpal. Despite them being unimpressed by her appearance, Clover's talent is undeniable, and she is selected to move forward in the competition. At home, Clover is finishing a painting of her ill mother when she receives the news that she's been selected for StarOpal. Her family is thrilled, and despite Clover's fears of being away from home, she says yes. During the competition, Clover faces pressure to change her appearance to fit the judge's standards. This causes Clover emotional distress, but she finds strength after receiving a call from her family. In the final performance, Clover embraces her identity, and despite not winning, she is celebrated by fans across the globe.

Haunted by flashbacks of her traumatic accident, champion barrel racer Janie withdraws from her comeback race. Embarrassed and ashamed, Janie is ready to give up racing altogether when she meets Nayali, an amateur racer who is looking for guidance.
