After her family is convicted of framing the Mus, Hua Qian wakes from a mysterious coma and finds herself transported back to her wedding day, with a chance to alter her tragic fate.

Before Hua Qian sets out to undo her previous mistakes, she must convince her father Butler Hua to plead for the life of Butler Mu, whom she previously implicated. As Hua Qian adopts a new attitude, her husband Zhong Yelan grows suspicious.

While Butler Hua comes to the defense of Butler Mu, Hua Qian attempts to reconcile with her old friend, Mu Yao. Seeking revenge of her own, Mu Yao takes a job as a maid for the Zhong family to gather evidence of Hua Qian's wrongdoings.

After Hua Qian uses her influence to get her brother out of a bind, Zhong Xiwu decides to put her character to the test. Meanwhile, Mu Yao reveals her true intentions in working as a maid to Zhong Yelan.

In an attempt to right her wrongs, Hua Qian engineers an opportunity for Mu Yao to impress Zhong Yelan and Zhong Xiwu with disappointing results. Meanwhile, the Zhong family hires Hua Rongzhou, a beggar Hua Qian once saved, as a guard.

At the Zhong family's annual incense banquet, mysterious rival lord Wu Shuomo wins a crucial contest. But when he asks to exchange his prize for Mu Yao's hand in marriage, Zhong Yelan makes a shocking decision.

While negotiating her brother's freedom with Mu Yao, Hua Qian visits her father to discuss the future of their family. Later, Zhong Yelan continues his refusal to divorce Hua Qian, insisting she would remain protected in the marriage.

After a change of heart, Mu Yao pleads with Zhong Yelan to release Hua Shen. Meanwhile, Hua Qian orders Hua Rongzhong to locate a key witness to protect Butler Hua…and sets an ultimatum for her father.

At the Mid-Autumn Festival, assassins once again attack Zhong manor. During the fight, Hua Shen suffers a grave injury but fails to protect Hua Qian, who is kidnapped by the mysterious assailants.

As the Hua family mourns a death, Zhong Xiwu, after learning that his brother Zhong Yelan has finally agreed to a divorce, confesses his true feelings to Hua Qian. Later, Zhong Xiwu uncovers more about the assassins’ activities.

After Hua Rongzhou falls into a coma, Hua Qian sets out to uncover the identities of her brother’s killers and begins to suspect that Mu Yao and Wu Shuomo are the masterminds behind the attack. Later, Hua Qian visits the Princess Royal to discuss her divorce.

After an uncomfortable run-in with Meng Yifei, who harbors her own feelings for Zhong Xiwu, Hua Qian investigates the masterminds behind the attack and learns that her brother’s death was not part of their plan.

While Hua Qian blackmails Mu Yao into tracking down Hua Shen’s killer, Hua Rongzhou goes on a mission for Hua Qian. Later, Mu Yao finally admits her involvement in the attack to Zhong Yelan.

Zhong Xiwu reveals that he has evidence of Butler Hua’s crimes and persuades Hua Qian to plead guilty to grant her father leniency. Meanwhile, Hua Qian is forced to keep the identity of Hua Shen’s killer a secret and uncovers a betrayal from a confidante.

Zhong Yelan and Zhong Xiwu find themselves at an impasse over the business. After disfiguring Meng Yifei in a moment of rage, Hua Qian confesses to her father’s crimes in front of the entire Zhong manor, shouldering the responsibility of his actions.

Zhong Xiwu uses his power and position to protect Hua Qian, sparking concern amongst his allies and the Princess Royal. After the incident with Meng Yifei is publicized, the Mengs try to force Zhong Xiwu to punish Hua Qian.

Believing Hua Qian poses a real danger to Zhong Xiwu’s future as a lord, the Princess Royal arranges a deadly plan. But when Zhong Xiwu rushes to foil the Princess Royal’s plot, he arrives to find the Zhong manor in flames.

Amidst the wreckage from the fire, Hua Rongzhou refuses to believe that Hua Qian is dead and continues his search. After Zhong Xiwu hears her badmouthing Hua Qian, Meng Yifei is banished from the manor.

After starting fresh in another town, Hua Qian enjoys new friends and hobbies. Later, Hua Qian finally reunites with Hua Rongzhou, and Zhong Xiwu reluctantly accepts his future as a lord.

After an unexpected wakeup call alters her reality, Hua Qian has a stunning realization that forces her to make a choice that will change her life forever.
