ABC Owned Television Stations present personal stories that go beyond the statistics to explore life in America as present-day challenges ignite change for a better future.
Now a successful photojournalist, Wilson returns to the City of God to reconnect with old friends and support Barbantinho's campaign for City Council. Later, Bradock’s surprise appearance at Curió’s daughter’s 15th birthday party sets off a dangerous conflict when he demands his former position in the drug trade.
As tensions rise, Wilson meets Lígia, a reporter from Spain looking to investigate corruption in the City of God. Later, Leka questions whether her father’s photographs are exploitative, Barbantinho tries to set up a face-to-face with Curió and Bradock, and Berenice fights to keep her boyfriend Clayton, aka “PQD,” away from crime.
Amid the territory war, Leka and her rap group court a record producer – but get stranded when violence erupts in the favela. Meanwhile, Lígia and Wilson investigate the actions of militias in the West Zone, PQD leverages his military background to support Curió, and Jerusa orchestrates an ambush.
