After witnessing the fallout of the devastating November 13, 2015, terrorist attacks on Paris, Chris befriends Émilie, an active member of an online survivors' group. Claiming her best friend Vincent is one of the victims at the Bataclan, Chris integrates herself into the community … though her own mother begins to doubt her intentions.

Attempting to claim compensation from the survivors' fund, Chris sets out to prove she attended the concert at the Bataclan on the night of the attacks. After moving into an apartment in the heart of Paris, Chris poses as Vincent to strike up an online friendship with Myriam -- drawing suspicion from Émilie's partner, Nico, who begins to dig into Chris's past.

As she settles into her role as an official employee of Stand for Paris, Chris accuses other members of fraud, stirring tensions within the group and causing the association's founder to take a closer look at his own team.
