Years after last donning the mantle of Ice King, Simon struggles to find his place as a human in a magical, ever-changing Ooo. Desperate to forget his time as the author of the ever-popular Fionna and Cake series, Simon embarks on an adventure with an old friend – and attempts to reconnect with a figure from his past.

After crash-landing in a fantastic new world, Cake takes on Ooo, while a desperate Fionna continues her search. Later, Simon opens the portal one last time.

While learning more about their connection from Prismo, Fionna, Cake and Simon become the target of a dangerous new enemy.

After arriving in the Winter Kingdom, Fionna and Simon discover their best selves ... and a possible solution to their problems. Back home, Marshall Lee helps Gary prepare for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

When Cake is recruited by a band of vampire hunters in an alternate Ooo, Fionna and Simon struggle to keep up. At a black-tie party, Marshall Lee finds himself dragged back into his mother's world, leaving Gary to hobnob with elites who could help his dreams become a reality.

Stranded in a desolate wasteland, Fionna, Cake and Simon encounter old friends and enemies alike -- and must resort to desperate measures to escape. After running afoul of his superiors, Scarab attempts to continue his pursuit.

Returning to a familiar land, Fionna and Cake look toward an uncertain tomorrow and deal with an invasion. Meanwhile, Simon finds himself spirited away to the last place he expected.
