My So-Called Life

Angela Chase begins a friendship with Rayanne Graff and Rickie Vasquez. At home there is tension between her and her mother.

In an elaborate ruse concocted by her new friend Rayanne, Angela agrees to work with Brian Krakow on a school project at his house in order to be alone at last with the enigmatic Jordan Catalano; and Patty convinces Graham to take ballroom dancing classes in an attempt to restore some romance to their marriage.

A rumor flying through the high school that Angela went "all the way" with Jordan Catalano reaches Patty and Graham, who must deal with the idea of their daughter having sex; while at the same time a gunshot is fired at school, leading to heavy pressure on Brian Krakow, who is believed to be the only witness.

Graham gives Angela two coveted tickets to a Grateful Dead concert in a misguided effort to win back her approval and Patty struggles to deal with her father Chuck's meddling in an IRS audit.

A pimple on Angela's face brings out all her insecurities, while her former best friend Sharon must deal with unwelcome attention caused by a "poll" at school.

Angela falls under the sway of an electrifying and extremely unconventional substitute English teacher, Vic Racine, whose provocative methods create a furor at Liberty High.

Angela's obsession with Jordan Catalano escalates into full-blown romance, while Patty and Graham have very different reactions to the possibility that Patty may be pregnant again.

Sharon's father suffers a heart attack.

Halloween night finds Angela in the darkened high school, trying to contact the spirit of a troubled student who died in a fall from the rafters during a prank in 1963.

Angela is entranced by Rayanne's uninhibited mother, Amber, while Patty struggles for self-control in dealing with her own mother, Vivian.

Angela's and Brian's lives are turned upside down when Delia, a new girl at school, gets a crush on Brian and the poor guy winds up with two dates for the school dance.

It's New Year's Eve, and while everyone else is busy making or breaking their resolutions, Rickie faces an increasingly difficult situation and does not know where to turn for help.

Angela announces that she's finally over her infatuation with Jordan Catalano, and to prove it, she starts a flirtation with Corey. Patty's best friend, Camille, meets Hallie, Graham's new business partner.

On a romantic weekend getaway to "reconnect" with Graham, Patty reveals another side of her personality; and at the Chase home, Angela copes with a visit from Rayanne, who has good reason not to leave.

Jordan Catalano asks Brian for help on what to say to win back Angela's affections; Sharon and Rayanne reach a turning point in their relationship; and Rickie learns that the new girl, Delila Fisher, has a crush on him.
