When a young dog is rushed into the clinic foaming at the mouth, Dr. Jeff and his team must act quickly to save his life. Dr. Lindsay gets a big surprise when she treats a sick golden doodle. Then, the team heads to the mountains to help a pack of rescued huskies. Finally, Dr. Jeff faces a surgery he’s never done before when he meets Penelope the Pig.
A puppy with a broken leg is rescued from a kill shelter in Oklahoma and flown to Denver where Dr. Jeff gives her a second chance at life. A dog eats a box of toxic chocolates infused with marijuana, and is rushed to the clinic for treatment. The team cares for two abandoned kittens struggling to survive without their mother, while the clinic's newest vet takes on a rat with a facial growth.
Dr. Jeff races to save the legs of a puppy that has been hit by a car, and newly-hired exotic pet vet, Dr. Baier, treats a Burmese python that is losing weight. While Dr. Jeff recovers from knee surgery, Dr. Nichols and vet tech Hector come face to face with a pride of lions in the middle of Colorado.
With thousands of animals in need and vet care unaffordable for most, Dr. Jeff and his team head to Mexico to run a mobile clinic and help as many people and pets as they can. The team's skills are put to the test when a dog collapses from internal bleeding following routine surgery. Meanwhile, Dyani sets out to prove that she's as good a vet tech as she is a receptionist and ends up falling in love with a local stray puppy.
Dr. Jeff battles to save a bearded dragon that is rushed in having a seizure, and Dr. Nichols must figure out why a family's beloved dog is not eating and struggles to breathe. Meanwhile, Dr. Amy is put to the test when a routine cat neuter turns complicated, and Dr. Jeff and Dr. Nichols turn dentist for the day when they visit a mini-horse ranch.
When two Chihuahuas are found abandoned in a storm drain, Dr. Jeff and his team will do whatever it takes to help them. Then, Dr. Jeff makes a surprising discovery when a cat's bizarre eating habits put her life in danger. Dr. Amy tackles a bone chiseling operation on a Pomeranian with a dislocated hip, and Dr. Nichols and Dr. Amy are put to the test when routine surgery on a young horse becomes complicated.
Dr. Jeff faces the challenge of his life when he learns that he has a serious medical issue. Despite this, he tackles complex surgery on a puppy with internal bleeding. Then, when a young dog is hit by a car, the team races to fix her badly-broken leg, and Dr. Baier attempts surgery he's never done before to treat a family's beloved rat.
After 25 years in a tiny clinic, the team is moving to a brand new location with twice the space to help animals in need. Meanwhile, Dr. Don struggles to fix the crushed foot of a family's cherished cat, and Dr. Baier and Dr. Nichols combine their skills to help a rescued duck with a broken leg. When Dr. Jeff repairs a dog's knee, he makes a special connection with her owner.
