After witnessing the fallout of the devastating November 13, 2015, terrorist attacks on Paris, Chris befriends Émilie, an active member of an online survivors' group. Claiming her best friend Vincent is one of the victims at the Bataclan, Chris integrates herself into the community … though her own mother begins to doubt her intentions.

After moving into an apartment in the heart of Paris, Chris poses as Vincent to strike up an online friendship with Myriam -- drawing suspicion from Émilie's partner, Nico, who begins to dig into Chris's past.
