The Anarchists

Despite a chaotic first Anarchapulco, attendees Lisa and Nathan Freeman decide to relocate their family, joining conference founder Jeff Berwick and a growing number of expats in Mexico. Their anarchist paradise is disrupted by the arrival of Lily Forester and John Galton, a young couple fleeing the U.S. on drug charges, who question whether Anarchapulco is anarchy "lite."

As crypto-currency becomes the centerpiece of the second Anarchapulco, young veteran Paul Propert and Chicagoan Jason Henza each make the trek south to join the community. Soon, a crypto boom creates a dividing line between instant millionaires and those who missed the bus, prompting Lily and John to create their own, less formal anarchist conference -- "Anarchaforko."

As the fourth Anarchapulco conference approaches, conflicts continue to mount behind the scenes as Nathan clashes with Jeff. Then, Paul's escalating anger threatens to harm the community.

A shocking murder makes international headlines, leaving the community wondering if the perpetrator was one of their own.

As the sixth Anarchapulco gets underway, the community reels from accusations of a fraudulent crypto scheme – and another shocking death.

2020. Disillusioned, the Freemans move their family to another city where they face a new set of problems. Lily returns to Anarchapulco to speak about the dangers of anarchism. With conference attendance down, many in the community question what anarchy still means to them.
