Szu-yueh confronts Ta-chih about SBC's portrayal of Szu-tsung, whose mental health has taken a turn for the worse. Mei-Mei puts pressure on Wang She to reevaluate his professional and personal priorities. Meanwhile, Chiao-an and Chao-kuo are called into Tien-ching's school by a concerned teacher.
Ta-chih and Chiao-an have a public confrontation. Despite her father's disapproval, Mei-Mei sticks by Wang She's side. Following their therapist's recommendation, Chao-kuo takes Chiao-an on a painful walk down memory lane. When her father gets sick, Szu-yueh decides to take matters into her own hands.
Chen Chang is devastated when he's not given the death penalty. A middle school student spreads terror in Li Hsiao-ming's name. Meanwhile, Chiao-an has a change of heart, and Ta-chih offers her an earnest apology. Szu-yueh and Kai-tzu continue their arguments, and a discharged Szu-tsung gets a job offer from an old friend.
Despite the ratings risk, Chiao-an is determined to rectify SBC News' ethics. Mei-Mei's father blames Wang She for her premature birth, putting pressure on him to reroute his career. Chiao-ping and Yi-chun argue about how to handle their patients. Ta-chih bumps into Mao, an old love interest. Meanwhile, Szu-tsung refuses to take his medication.
When the media ambushes the cafe looking for Ta-chih, she realizes she's been betrayed, and Szu-tsung is determined to protect her. Wang She makes a drastic change. To their surprise, Chiao-an and Brother News' efforts don’t affect SBC's ratings, but a new director threatens to disrupt things.
