Grisse

Tyrannical colonialists descend on Grisse, a garrison town of the Dutch East Indies, forcing Kalia, a born warrior and provider, to leave life as she knows it behind.

When the town erupts into chaos following the rebellion, the people of Grisse must elect a leader to unite and protect them. But, weary of the imminent Dutch return, the townspeople begin to flee and Kalia is forced to make a difficult decision.

When the Dutch army threatens to attack Grisse, the new town council must decide whether to surrender or fight.

A bizarre stranger creates a stir and finds himself imprisoned after sneaking into Grisse. Meanwhile, loyalties are redrawn when Sultan Adnan and his royal guards arrive in town, threatening Kalia's authority. As the Dutch continue to lay siege to Grisse, hidden agendas begin to reveal themselves.

After the council learns that Governor Daan is dead and Kurt has escaped, Kalia holds Maran responsible, leaving him embittered and vulnerable to Adnan's influence. When Moresby vanishes, Kalia discovers what he'd been looking for. Armed with knowledge of the ledgers, Kalia plans to parlay with De Witt once again.

While Kalia is held captive, Adnan takes control of Grisse. As the Dutch gloat, Ryuichi sneaks into their camp and finds himself facing off with an old acquaintance. In Kalia's absence, Chi remains loyal and stands her ground against Adnan.

Kalia, along with Chi's gang, is imprisoned after refusing to surrender to Adnan. When the townspeople gather to demand Kalia's release, Lena orders the royal guards to beat them into submission, causing a horrified Maran to question his new leaders. Later, Kalia and Adnan duel for rightful leadership of Grisse.

The Dutch make their final descent as the fate of Grisse hangs in the balance.
