Episode 1
Helene is a shipwreck survivor washed ashore near a small village. She is swept off her feet by widowed pastor and the two soon marry, with Edmund believing his bride to be untouched by another man. But it seems that she has a dark history.
Episode 2
After being blamed for Bird Raymond's death, Helene attempts to adjust to life as a pastor's wife. Negotiating Dorothy's wicked schemes grows increasingly tricky when she's also blamed for the deteriorating health of Mother Mathilde.
Episode 3
Edmund learns of his late mother's intention to leave him her estate on the condition that he fathers an heir within a year of her death. Meanwhile, Dorothy cranks her spying up a notch.
Episode 4
With time ticking on and still no sign of an heir, Edmund announces to his congregation that he and Helene are to leave Hunderby for a new life in Fiji.
Episode 5
As Helene continues her affair with the doctor, her past looks set to be unravelled by hunchback John Whiffin.
Episode 6
News of Helene's pregnancy brings a celebratory mood to Hunderby, before Geoff's future is placed in jeopardy.
Episode 7
A wealth of secrets are unraveled (not least the origin of bubbly milk) and everything that was known at Hunderby is turned upside down.
Episode 8
The deadline for fulfilling Edmund's mother's dying wish is drawing near, so Dorothy tries to speed up Helene's pregnancy. Fearing for her friend's safety, Annie searches for Dr Foggerty but her actions lead to a string of shocking revelations.
