Pilot

On his seventieth birthday, Japan’s legendary fixer, Ryutaro, must quiet a journalist who threatens to expose damaging circumstances around the death of a politician’s son. Meanwhile, Ryutaro’s adult children deal with their relationships and how to celebrate their father’s birthday.

Episode 2

Merry-Go-Round

Ryutaro must help the prime minister with the succession plans of her party and the passing of her final legislative bill. Meanwhile, Ichiro’s mistress turns out to be working with a man who makes mysterious contact with various members of Ryutaro’s family.

Episode 3

It is a Necklace

The politicians draw their allegiances for and against the prime minister as Ryutaro learns more about his children’s lives. Meanwhile, Ryu and Sarah start to date behind the watchful eyes of Ryutaro, and Yumiko’s perfect life shows cracks.

Episode 4

I Want to See a Rise

A scandal starts to brew as Maruyama’s brother is arrested, causing the politicians to scramble to make sense of what it means for their futures. Risako’s singing career starts to take off and Yumiko discovers her husband’s startling secret.

I Do Not Trust Your Justice

Tensions grow as Ryutaro is uneasy about Ryu dating a foreign journalist. Ichiro goes back to Taka for more money, as his mistress, Nami tries to move on and dates another man.

Maruyama is confronted by new scandalous evidence about his brother. Ryutaro discovers a connection between his past connections and Ichiro’s mistress.

Maruyama’s brother takes matters into his own hands as pressure mounts for Maruyama in the Diet. Yumiko’s husband’s dark past is revealed. Ryu and Sarah unravel the secrets.

A Long Days’ Drive

A desperate Yumiko runs into her old boss as she tries to piece her life together. Ryutaro decides to fix Ichiro’s relationship with his wife.

Where You Keep Your Owls

Ryutaro is caught off guard with the latest votes in the legislature as he discovers that there is someone else who might be pulling the politicians’ strings.

Revenge Starts Today

The family is on the verge of collapse as each member must deal with the threat of the new fixer. Suspicions grow about who in the family could have betrayed Ryutaro.
