Self Love

Now cancer-free, Angela attempts to juggle both work and parenthood, while Stephen fails to impress up-and-coming rapper Lil Ankh. With her parents preoccupied, Zuri faces her school’s fundraiser alone.

After finding a list of goals for her post-cancer life, Angela attempts to knock them all out in one day, dragging a distracted Stephen along with her. Meanwhile, Zuri takes the opportunity to procrastinate on an important project.

While Angela rakes it in at the salon thanks to a new app, Stephen fights to get the money he’s owed from Lil Ankh. Back home, Zuri finds herself roped into an epic battle of the sexes as her grandparents spar over their laundry and landlord duties.

After Zuri forges a connection with a classmate experiencing homelessness, Angela goes viral -- and finds herself trading “kindness” for clout. When his mother urges him to mentor his teenage nephew, Amir, Stephen attempts to find common ground in art.

When Lil Ankh disses his beats yet again, Stephen decides to work with a marketing firm desperate for a song to advertise their morally questionable products. After taking on a wealthy new client, Angela pretends to be rich, while Zuri leaves the scouts and enters the cookie game.

Lost Love

Tired of fighting to get ahead, Stephen contemplates quitting music -- until an unexpected heart-to-heart with Russell provides some much-needed perspective. Meanwhile, Angela's search for purpose turns into a side hustle as a life coach, and Zuri attempts a career as an oracle.

Game Love

After parting ways with Lil Ankh, Stephen loses himself in Amir's latest video game creation, Hustle Quest. Later, Angela and Gigi join forces to fight back against a sketchy pyramid scheme, while Zuri turns to an unlikely source for advice on how to bag her bully.

Chicago Love

Hoping to make the most of a rare free day, Stephen and Angela pay a visit to their favorite restaurant -- only to find the entire block has succumbed to gentrification. Left to babysit Zuri, Amir convinces his younger cousin to come along on a rule-breaking adventure. Back home, Gigi longs to rekindle the spark after Russell plans a less-than-romantic 30th anniversary date.

When Angela temporarily takes charge of the salon, mounting pressure to be the "cool boss" gets in the way of her goals. After a recording session goes awry, Stephen struggles to get over his creative insecurities. Meanwhile, Zuri finds herself channeling her inner Angela Davis as the leader of a schoolwide revolution.

On a school fieldtrip, Angela frets over her connection with an increasingly distant Zuri -- and is welcomed into a support group for needy parents. When his attempt to turn Amir into a sneakerhead backfires, Stephen is forced to confront his outdated views on manhood.
